Research consultant on Phase Zero of the Amazon Andes Fund, IMPAQTO Capital’s impact-investing vehicle backing processors, exporters, and ingredient companies across the Amazon and Andes.
Phase Zero pipeline research for IMPAQTO Capital’s Amazon Andes Fund, an impact-investing fund focused on the Amazon and Andes bioeconomy. My role is research consultant supporting the early-stage pipeline study. My Phase Zero work began in June 2026, and its evidence base was handed over to the fund team in September 2026.
Ten years of field relationships across the Ecuadorian Amazon, and a working knowledge of both sides of the table: the enterprises on the ground, and the capital looking for them. This is the bridge in one engagement, finance meeting territory.
The engagement lived in one working repository, built the same way as my other systems: research procedures written as step-by-step guides, Python tools for the repeatable steps, and a single-file command center the team could open offline to study the pipeline and prepare interviews. Every high-stakes claim carries its source, and a second pass checked those claims before anything reached the client. The final handover organised the evidence, the interview summaries and a guide to the folders in the client’s own Drive, with every file move logged so it could be undone.
Engagement details are held in confidence. What is public: the fund, the firm, and my role. That is the line, and I keep it. A fund deciding who to trust with its pipeline is exactly the kind of client who needs to know I will keep theirs.
